5 Super-Smart Dogs
Here are some of the smartest dogs out there and why.
Don't be shocked if you pup doesn't show up here.
It doesn't mean he or she is a dumb-dumb.
Dogs, like people, are all different and varied, this is just a general overview.
The problem with a smart pooch is that they need constant stimulation.
Dog's aren't very good at watching TV or smoking they need something to occupy their mind.
Anyway here's the top five in no particular order.
Australian Cattle Dog The Australian Cattle Dog - A great dog, high in both innate intelligence and natural skill.
Watching one of these dogs organize cattle is like watching a ballet.
It's a thing of beauty.
Rottweiler - yup a Rot.
Easy to train and eager to learn.
Regardless of the bad reputation, they are a fabulous, gentle family dog.
Highly protective of its owner and makes a affable and intelligent pet.
Again easy to train, eager to learn and a lovable canine.
Labrador Retriever - A lab is just a super dog.
They are highly social, gentle with kids and great watchdog and just a joy to own.
Like Golden Retrievers, they need a lot of exercise to stay fit and healthy.
They are prone to getting fat.
Shetland sheepdog - Another dog that was specifically mixed to help with farming chores, herding animals and so on.
Like most on this list they need lots of time to run and play and toys to keep them from getting bored.
A smart dog to be sure but not as quite as social as some.
Still an excellent family dog.
There's my top 5.
Any of these dogs would be a great choice if you are looking for an easy to train lovable friend for the family.
Keep in mind, like all dogs, these need lots of exercise and a steady predictable routine and diet.
