How to Attach an Emblem
- 1). Clean the location on the car or object where you wish to display the emblem. Make sure the area is free of any dirt, residue or buildup of any kind. Wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Dry the area after cleaning.
- 2). Use masking tape to mark a straight line directly below where the emblem will go.
- 3). Prepare the back of the emblem with the adhesive of your choice. Remove the paper backing to expose the adhesive if your emblem comes with preapplied tape. Apply a layer of urethane glue to the back of an emblem that doesn't come with adhesive.
- 4). Press the emblem onto the surface of the car or object, using the masking-tape line as a guide. Allow 24 hours for the glue to set before handling the area or driving the car. Remove the masking tape by carefully peeling it away.
